The illustration and description of <em>Ophrys cretica subsp. karpathensis<\/em> fits best here. However, the patterns are clearly different (e.g. the &#8222;mischievous face&#8220; and the &#8222;belly&#8220;). Perhaps this is a separate subspecies that I have not yet found in my books?
